I have decided to add a final (hopefully) post of some bits and bobs that have not been posted during the production due to forgetfulness and business coming up to the last few weeks of the project.
Mouth Making:
As I have said before, we were all new to model making in team Micetro. So, it took a while to get into the swing of things.
What we did first was fold up tinfoil and place the tinfoil around the model we wanted to make a mouth shape for. Then carefully with a thinly rolled out piece of black Fimo, cut to an approx. size of the back of the mouth that we wanted, we placed it on the tinfoil and baked for 20 minutes in an oven to make it hard.
Then we made mould with milliput for the lips, teeth and tongue. This was done buy rolling together blue and white milliput and pushed gently on top of finalised shapes for the lips, teeth and tongue which were made out of Fimo. Milliput dried naturally itself to make a solid rubber mould.
With the fresh new moulds we then shaped Fimo into them to make our lips, teeth or tongue. When we gently pushed out the Fimo from the moulds, cut around them and placed them on the hard black Fimo that we had cooked in the oven. Depending on the mouth shape we wanted to create, depended on where we placed the teeth, tongue and lips.
When all is created neatly on top of the hard Fimo we cooked our mouths again for 20mins and cut around to form a perfectly formed mouth shape.
To make our eyes we used polymorph. Simply put the small balls of polymorph into a cup of boiling water. The balls clump together and you get a selection out and roll them in the palm of your hands to get a perfect small ball/eye. Each eye was then drawn on by a Sharpie to create the pupil.
When it came to my producing the One Sheet I couldn't make up my mind or satisfy myself with the designs I had produced. Much manipulation to each design was made to come up with the final product. I knew I wanted to keep the 1950s theme and drew influence from lots of research it lots of 1950s concert posters.
The first few designs on the top row where too boring with the brown colour scheme and I didn't feel like it resembled our animation or the feel of it. On the second row I tried out the stage idea and spotlight in realistic colouring but felt the blue looked a bit Sci-Fi and was too simple. Then on the third row I looked at some more 50s poster designs and tried to think of the key colours in our production. I thought of red for the curtains and in some ways represents fame or being well known. I choose yellow to represent cheese and I knew that red and yellow complimented each other. With more red shown I felt that it made the poster stand out and catch the eye than red just being a boarder for the one sheet.
Here you can see the final one sheet.
To give the title a quirky introduction I felt the best way was to have it in a poster with other animal bands from the 1950s era. I sat down and brain stormed some famous 1950s bands and singers and adjusted there names to that of an animal.
I am very proud of this poster and think it sets the scene very well with great humour and wit.
For the end credits I did the same idea. Created a 1950s concert poster with the names of the team within it and our roles.

For the DVD cover and label I based it around my one sheet design. I tried to keep it rustic and faded like it was from the 1950s.
